The following published opinion was released by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit on May 5, 2008:
- U.S. v. Hazlewood (Jones, C.J., Barksdale, Stewart, JJ.; opinion by Stewart, J.). Affirming conviction of defendant for assault, holding that, where indictment under 18 USC § 111(a) makes no mention of physical contact, indictment was for misdemeanor offense over which magistrate judge had jurisdiction.
